For his anger is but for a moment; In his favour is life: Weeping may tarry for the night, But joy cometh in the morning.

In measure, when thou sendest her away, thou dost contend with her; he hath removed her with his rough blast in the day of the east wind.

For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.

Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; I will not look in anger upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, I will not keep anger for ever.

Will he retain his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and hast done evil things, and hast had thy way.

None of his sins that he hath committed shall be remembered against him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
