In the LORD put I my trust: How say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; there is none that doeth good.

He that putteth not out his money to usury, Nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

As for me, I said in my prosperity, I shall never be moved.

Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end thereof.

Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, a day great beyond measure.

For though they be like tangled thorns, told be drenched as it were in their drink, they shall be devoured utterly as dry stubble.

But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord tarrieth;

When they are saying, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall in no wise escape.

How much soever she glorified herself, and waxed wanton, so much give her of torment and mourning: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall in no wise see mourning.
