By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

And there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew the trumpet, and said, We have no portion in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel.

He shall deliver even him that is not innocent: Yea, he shall be delivered through the cleanness of thine hands.

When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: And when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

He that despiseth his neighbour is void of wisdom: But a man of understanding holdeth his peace.

Righteousness exalteth a nation: But sin is a reproach to any people.

For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: But by men of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.

Scornful men set a city in a flame: But wise men turn away wrath.

Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.

And the tongue is a fire: the world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the wheel of nature, and is set on fire by hell.
