He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: But the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

And it came to pass the same day, that Isaac's servants came, and told him concerning the well which they had digged, and said unto him, We have found water.

He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: But he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

There is that scattereth, and increaseth yet more; And there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth only to want.

The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: But the slothful shall be put under taskwork.

The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: But the precious substance of men is to the diligent

Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; Open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.

The slothful will not plow by reason of the winter; Therefore he shall beg in harvest, and have nothing.

The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness: But every one that is hasty hasteth only to want.

By slothfulness the roof sinketh in; and through idleness of the hands the house leaketh.

Work not for the meat which perisheth, but for the meat which abideth unto eternal life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him the Father, even God, hath sealed.

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not vain in the Lord.
