There are many devices in a man's heart; But the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

There is no wisdom nor understanding Nor counsel against the LORD.

It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.

Ye know that after two days the passover cometh, and the Son of man is delivered up to be crucified.

But they said, Not during the feast, lest a tumult arise among the people.

And the chief priests and the scribes heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, for all the multitude was astonished at his teaching.

But should we say, From men--they feared the people: for all verily held John to be a prophet.

Now after two days was the feast of the passover and the unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him with subtilty, and kill him:

And while he was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster cruse of ointment of spikenard very costly; and she brake the cruse, and poured it over his head.

But if we shall say, From men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.

Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Behold how ye prevail nothing: lo, the world is gone after him.

Some of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, This is of a truth the prophet.
