And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away mine iniquity? For now shall I lie down in the dust; And thou shall seek me diligently, but I shall not be.

And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: but now, O LORD, put away, I beseech thee, the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

If I sin, then thou markest me, And thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity.

Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast fashioned me as clay; And wilt thou bring me into dust again?

Who is he that will contend with me? For now shall I hold my peace and give up the ghost.

But man dieth, and wasteth away: Yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?

If I have said to corruption, Thou art my father; To the worm, Thou art my mother, and my sister;

He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: Yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.

He lieth down rich, but he shall not be gathered; He openeth his eyes, and he is not.

For now should I have lain down and been quiet; I should have slept; then had I been at rest:

I am clean, without transgression; I am innocent, neither is there iniquity in me:

The eye of him that seeth me shall behold me no more: Thine eyes shall be upon me, but I shall not be.

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that thou wilt not hold me innocent.

As for man, his days are as grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

But one passed by, and, lo, he was not: Yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

and the dust return to the earth as it was, and the spirit return unto God who gave it.

Thy dead shall live; my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast forth the dead.

Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, look, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Take with you words, and return unto the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and accept that which is good: so will we render as bullocks the offering of our lips.

On the morrow he seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold, the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world!

who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

And ye know that he was manifested to take away sins; and in him is no sin.
