Oh that ye would altogether hold your peace! And it should be your wisdom.

How then comfort ye me in vain, Seeing in your answers there remaineth only falsehood?

And if it be not so now, who will prove me a liar, And make my speech nothing worth?

Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; Why then are ye become altogether vain?

Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.

Thy words have upholden him that was falling, And thou hast confirmed the feeble knees

Teach me, and I will hold my peace: And cause me to understand wherein I have erred.

Do ye imagine to reprove words? Seeing that the speeches of one that is desperate are as wind.

There is that speaketh rashly like the piercings of a sword: But the tongue of the wise is health.

A man hath joy in the answer of his mouth: And a word in due season, how good is it!

Death and life are in the power of the tongue; And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

A word fitly spoken Is like apples of gold in baskets of silver.
