He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage; Neither believeth he that it is the voice of the trumpet.

And while they still disbelieved for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here anything to eat?

Shall the trumpet be blown in a city, and the people not be afraid? shalt evil befall a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart is disquieted in me; I cannot hold my peace; because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.

Shall it be told him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up?

I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repenteth him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turneth to his course, as a horse that rusheth headlong in the battle.
