And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, That it is manifold in effectual working! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth

The tents of robbers prosper, And they that provoke God are secure; Into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.

Yea, thou doest away with fear, And restrainest devotion before God.

Is not thy wickedness great? Neither is there any end to thine iniquities.

So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram: Against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.

He frustrateth the devices of the crafty, So that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.

He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: And the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.

Who have whet their tongue like a sword, And have aimed their arrows, even bitter words:

Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in his heart he layeth wait for him.

The good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth that which is evil: for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

If any man thinketh himself to be religious, while he bridleth not his tongue but deceiveth his heart, this man's religion is vain.
