and if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in darkness, and thine obscurity be as the noonday:

And thy life shall be clearer than the noonday; Though there be darkness, it shall be as the morning.

If the men of my tent said not, Who can find one that hath not been satisfied with his flesh?

Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

Add he shall make thy righteousness to go forth as the light, And thy judgement as the noonday.

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: The LORD will deliver him in the day of evil.

He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: But he that hath mercy on the needy honoureth him.

He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: But he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

And I will bring the blind by a way that they know not; in paths that they know not will I lead them: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things will I do, and I will not forsake them.

For, behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

neither hath wronged any, hath not taken aught to pledge, neither hath spoiled by violence, but hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment,

but it shall be one day which is known unto the LORD; not day, and not night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time there shall be light.

And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.

And when Jesus heard it, he said unto him, One thing thou lackest yet: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Howbeit there shall be no poor with thee; (for the LORD will surely bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it;)
