And Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: so Esau despised his birthright.

And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came in from the field, and he was faint:

And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.

And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter, the goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them unto the potter, in the house of the LORD.

But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise:

and said, What are ye willing to give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they weighed unto him thirty pieces of silver.

Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish; For I work a work in your days, A work which ye shall in no wise believe, if one declare it unto you.

If after the manner of men I fought with beasts at Ephesus, what doth it profit me? If the dead are not raised, let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.
