Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, Thou understandest my thought afar off.

He deviseth iniquity upon his bed; He setteth himself in a way that is not good; He abhorreth not evil.

A good man shall obtain favour of the LORD: But a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

There are many devices in a man's heart; But the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth evil continually; He soweth discord.

But Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and they shall carry thee out.

Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray the Lord, if perhaps the thought of thy heart shall be forgiven thee.

Wherefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall each man have his praise from God.
