Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; How I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty peoples:

Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and the reproach of thy widowhood shalt thou remember no more.

And the sons of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

And thou, son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the Lord GODconcerning the children of Ammon, and concerning their reproach; and say thou, A sword, a sword is drawn, for the slaughter it is furbished, to cause it to devour, that it may be as lightning:

Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed, and art defiled in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the nations, and a mocking to all the countries.

And I will raise up unto them a plantation for renown, and they shall be no more consumed with famine in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.

therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nation any more, saith the Lord GOD

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord GOD Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen:

therefore thus saith the Lord GOD I have lifted up mine hand, saying, Surely the heathen that are round about you, they shall bear their shame.

And it shall come to pass in that day, when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD that my fury shall come up into my nostrils.

And the LORD answered and said unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the nations:

I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, wherewith they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border.

The LORD hath taken away thy judgements, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not fear evil any more.
