As we have heard, so have we seen In the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah

Howl, ye ships of Tarshish: for your strong hold is laid waste.

Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not strengthen the foot of their mast, they could not spread the sail: then was the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame took the prey.

I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy; I will look upon their back, and not their face, in the day of their calamity.

For thus saith the Lord GOD When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and the great waters shall cover thee;

Thy riches, and thy wares, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, with all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the heart of the seas in the day of thy ruin.

In the time that thou wast broken by the seas in the depths of the waters, thy merchandise and all thy company did fall in the midst of thee.

They shall bring thee down to the pit; and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain, in the heart of the seas.

But after no long time there beat down from it a tempestuous wind, which is called Euraquilo:

But lighting upon a place where two seas met, they ran the vessel aground; and the foreship struck and remained unmoveable, but the stern began to break up by the violence of the waves.

And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
