Thy mother was like a vine, in thy blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.

and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I plead with you face to face.

lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst;

and the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as at this day.
