O LORD, for thy servant's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou wrought all this greatness, to make known all these great things.

Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, But unto thy name give glory, For thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.

I will worship toward thy holy temple, And give thanks unto thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

God is not a man, that he should lie; Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

yea, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight.

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

To shew mercy towards our fathers, And to remember his holy covenant;

having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him

according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave you.

Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go in to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may establish the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
