Let no man deceive himself. If any man thinketh that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? There is more hope of a fool than of him.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart, And lean not upon thine own understanding:

Be not wise in thine own eyes; Fear the LORD, and depart from evil:

Now therefore, my sons, hearken unto me, And depart not from the words of my mouth.

He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

Woe unto them that are wise their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

Thus saith the LORD: Deceive not yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans shall surely depart from us: for they shall not depart.

How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes hath wrought falsely.

Be of the same mind one toward another. Set not your mind on high things, but condescend to things that are lowly. Be not wise in your own conceits.

Be not deceived: Evil company doth corrupt good manners.

If any man destroyeth the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye have glory, but we have dishonour.

Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men,

For if a man thinketh himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

Let no man deceive you with empty words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience.

But evil men and impostors shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

For we also were aforetime foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deluding your own selves.

If any man thinketh himself to be religious, while he bridleth not his tongue but deceiveth his heart, this man's religion is vain.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
