By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

So it was not you who sent me here, but God; and he has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

Now there happened to be there a worthless fellow, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjaminite; and he blew the trumpet, and said, “We have no portion in David, and we have no inheritance in the son of Jesse; every man to his tents, O Israel!”

He delivers the innocent man; you will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.”

When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; and when the wicked perish there are shouts of gladness.

He who belittles his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding remains silent.

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.

When a land transgresses it has many rulers; but with men of understanding and knowledge its stability will long continue.

Scoffers set a city aflame, but wise men turn away wrath.

But there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city. Yet no one remembered that poor man.

And the tongue is a fire. The tongue is an unrighteous world among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the cycle of nature, and set on fire by hell.
