“When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be charged with any business; he shall be free at home one year, to be happy with his wife whom he has taken.

Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh.

Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth,

Enjoy life with the wife whom you love, all the days of your vain life which he has given you under the sun, because that is your portion in life and in your toil at which you toil under the sun.

And another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’

I mean, brethren, the appointed time has grown very short; from now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none,
