Acts 13:5

When they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. And they had John to assist them.

And he returned from following him, and took the yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the yokes of the oxen, and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he arose and went after Elijah, and ministered to him.

Then he was afraid, and he arose and went for his life, and came to Beer-sheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.

When he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose other name was Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying.

And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had fulfilled their mission, bringing with them John whose other name was Mark.

but they passed on from Perga and came to Antioch of Pisidia. And on the sabbath day they went into the synagogue and sat down.

And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken first to you. Since you thrust it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

Now at Iconium they entered together into the Jewish synagogue, and so spoke that a great company believed, both of Jews and of Greeks.

And Barnabas wanted to take with them John called Mark.

So he argued in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout persons, and in the market place every day with those who chanced to be there.

And he argued in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded Jews and Greeks.

And having sent into Macedonia two of his helpers, Timothy and Erastus, he himself stayed in Asia for a while.

So the city was filled with the confusion; and they rushed together into the theater, dragging with them Gaius and Aristarchus, Macedonians who were Paul's companions in travel.

And he entered the synagogue and for three months spoke boldly, arguing and pleading about the kingdom of God;

And in the synagogues immediately he proclaimed Jesus, saying, “He is the Son of God.”

Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, and Mark the cousin of Barnabas (concerning whom you have received instructions—if he comes to you, receive him),

Luke alone is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you; for he is very useful in serving me.
