The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God; happy is he who has no reason to judge himself for what he approves.

Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God;

One man esteems one day as better than another, while another man esteems all days alike. Let every one be fully convinced in his own mind.

Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good life let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.

Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Look to yourself, lest you too be tempted.

But he who has doubts is condemned, if he eats, because he does not act from faith; for whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.

For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience that we have behaved in the world, and still more toward you, with holiness and godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God.

I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but it is unclean for any one who thinks it unclean.

One believes he may eat anything, while the weak man eats only vegetables.

So I always take pains to have a clear conscience toward God and toward men.

Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?

I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.

Therefore you have no excuse, O man, whoever you are, when you judge another; for in passing judgment upon him you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.

However, not all possess this knowledge. But some, through being hitherto accustomed to idols, eat food as really offered to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.
