“Mark this, then, you who forget God, lest I rend, and there be none to deliver!

Such are the paths of all who forget God; the hope of the godless man shall perish.

But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, as for murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their lot shall be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.”

Like sheep they are appointed for Sheol; Death shall be their shepherd; straight to the grave they descend, and their form shall waste away; Sheol shall be their home.

If we had forgotten the name of our God, or spread forth our hands to a strange god,

And I will punish her for the feast days of the Baals when she burned incense to them and decked herself with her ring and jewelry, and went after her lovers, and forgot me, says the Lord.
