Or, ‘Deliver me from the adversary's hand’? Or, ‘Ransom me from the hand of oppressors’?

Lord, where is thy steadfast love of old, which by thy faithfulness thou didst swear to David?

For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what shall a man give in return for his life?
