Like sheep they are appointed for Sheol; Death shall be their shepherd; straight to the grave they descend, and their form shall waste away; Sheol shall be their home.

But thou, O Lord, knowest me; thou seest me, and triest my mind toward thee. Pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and set them apart for the day of slaughter.

and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

He subdued peoples under us, and nations under our feet.

Thou hast made us like sheep for slaughter, and hast scattered us among the nations.

The wicked shall depart to Sheol, all the nations that forget God.

They lie down alike in the dust, and the worms cover them.

They spend their days in prosperity, and in peace they go down to Sheol.

If their tent-cord is plucked up within them, do they not die, and that without wisdom?’
