As a hart longs for flowing streams, so longs my soul for thee, O God.

With open mouth I pant, because I long for thy commandments.

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain,

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Lord, thou wast favorable to thy land; thou didst restore the fortunes of Jacob.

My heart overflows with a goodly theme; I address my verses to the king; my tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe.

Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy!

We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what deeds thou didst perform in their days, in the days of old:

Hear this, all peoples! Give ear, all inhabitants of the world,

and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men that belonged to Korah and all their goods.

Now Korah the son of Izhar, son of Kohath, son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben,

Notwithstanding, the sons of Korah did not die.

The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph; these are the families of the Korahites.

The sons of Kohath: Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son,

On the holy mount stands the city he founded;

O Lord, my God, I call for help by day; I cry out in the night before thee.
