Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud, be gracious to me and answer me!
I will say to God, Do not condemn me; let me know why thou dost contend against me.
Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; lighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; thou hast loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness,
For my life is spent with sorrow, and my years with sighing; my strength fails because of my misery, and my bones waste away.
Answer me when I call, O God of my right! Thou hast given me room when I was in distress. Be gracious to me, and hear my prayer.
Hearken to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to thee do I pray.
