Let a good man strike or rebuke me in kindness, but let the oil of the wicked never anoint my head; for my prayer is continually against their wicked deeds.

It is better for a man to hear the rebuke of the wise than to hear the song of fools.

Those whom I love, I reprove and chasten; so be zealous and repent.

Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Look to yourself, lest you too be tempted.

Like a gold ring or an ornament of gold is a wise reprover to a listening ear.

Strike a scoffer, and the simple will learn prudence; reprove a man of understanding, and he will gain knowledge.

Do good to Zion in thy good pleasure; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem,

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies; thou anointest my head with oil, my cup overflows.

But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Without counsel plans go wrong, but with many advisers they succeed.

“You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason with your neighbor, lest you bear sin because of him.

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.
