Now, O my God, let thy eyes be open and thy ears attentive to a prayer of this place.

O Lord, let thy ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants who delight to fear thy name; and give success to thy servant today, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.” Now I was cupbearer to the king.

O Lord, in the morning thou dost hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for thee, and watch.

Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from dread of the enemy,

Incline thy ear, O Lord, and hear; open thy eyes, O Lord, and see; and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to mock the living God.
