“It is bad, it is bad,” says the buyer; but when he goes away, then he boasts.

Love not sleep, lest you come to poverty; open your eyes, and you will have plenty of bread.

There is gold, and abundance of costly stones; but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.

Is there a thing of which it is said, “See, this is new”? It has been already, in the ages before us.

The time has come, the day draws near. Let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn, for wrath is upon all their multitude.
