Do they not err that devise evil? Those who devise good meet loyalty and faithfulness.

A good man obtains favor from the Lord, but a man of evil devices he condemns.

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

What is desired in a man is loyalty, and a poor man is better than a liar.

A man of quick temper acts foolishly, but a man of discretion is patient.

Do not plan evil against your neighbor who dwells trustingly beside you.

May he be enthroned for ever before God; bid steadfast love and faithfulness watch over him!

All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.

But the Lord said to David my father, ‘Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart;

and said, “Blessed be the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his steadfast love and his faithfulness toward my master. As for me, the Lord has led me in the way to the house of my master's kinsmen.”

He plots mischief while on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he spurns not evil.

Let not loyalty and faithfulness forsake you; bind them about your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to want.

He who plans to do evil will be called a mischief-maker.

Woe to those who devise wickedness and work evil upon their beds! When the morning dawns, they perform it, because it is in the power of their hand.

And the men said to her, “Our life for yours! If you do not tell this business of ours, then we will deal kindly and faithfully with you when the Lord gives us the land.”

with perverted heart devises evil, continually sowing discord;

A righteous man turns away from evil, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.
