Righteousness guards him whose way is upright, but sin overthrows the wicked.

And Solomon said, “If he prove to be a worthy man, not one of his hairs shall fall to the earth; but if wickedness is found in him, he shall die.”

And this thing became sin to the house of Jeroboam, so as to cut it off and to destroy it from the face of the earth.

For he sacrificed to the gods of Damascus which had defeated him, and said, “Because the gods of the kings of Syria helped them, I will sacrifice to them that they may help me.” But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.

Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord!

Let not the slanderer be established in the land; let evil hunt down the violent man speedily!

He who walks blamelessly, and does what is right, and speaks truth from his heart;

May integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for thee.

Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the Lord without wavering.

The Lord is a stronghold to him whose way is upright, but destruction to evildoers.

Men of perverse mind are an abomination to the Lord, but those of blameless ways are his delight.

The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.

The righteous observes the house of the wicked; the wicked are cast down to ruin.

The iniquities of the wicked ensnare him, and he is caught in the toils of his sin.
