It is right for me to feel thus about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

I do not say this to condemn you, for I said before that you are in our hearts, to die together and to live together.

Therefore, holy brethren, who share in a heavenly call, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession.

Do not be ashamed then of testifying to our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel in the power of God,

For you are all sons of light and sons of the day; we are not of the night or of darkness.

and pray for us also, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison,

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called,

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love.

You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on your hearts, to be known and read by all men;

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

Then the tribune came up and arrested him, and ordered him to be bound with two chains. He inquired who he was and what he had done.

So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ as well as a partaker in the glory that is to be revealed.

I want you to know, brethren, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel,

so that it has become known throughout the whole praetorian guard and to all the rest that my imprisonment is for Christ;

and most of the brethren have been made confident in the Lord because of my imprisonment, and are much more bold to speak the word of God without fear.

But Timothy's worth you know, how as a son with a father he has served with me in the gospel.

And I ask you also, true yokefellow, help these women, for they have labored side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving except you only;

I would have been glad to keep him with me, in order that he might serve me on your behalf during my imprisonment for the gospel;
