And they set out from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho;

Then the people of Israel set out, and encamped in the plains of Moab beyond the Jordan at Jericho.

And Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,

The Lord said to Moses, “Go up into this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the people of Israel.

then it goes down from Jan-oah to Ataroth and to Naarah, and touches Jericho, ending at the Jordan.
