And they discussed it among themselves, saying, “We brought no bread.”
Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
But Jesus, aware of this, said, “O men of little faith, why do you discuss among yourselves the fact that you have no bread?
The baptism of John, whence was it? From heaven or from men?” And they argued with one another, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say to us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
So they kept the matter to themselves, questioning what the rising from the dead meant.
While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them.
And an argument arose among them as to which of them was the greatest.
But Peter said, “No, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean.”
