The Pharisees went out, and immediately held counsel with the Herodi-ans against him, how to destroy him.
And they sent to him some of the Pharisees and some of the Herodi-ans, to entrap him in his talk.
And they sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodi-ans, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are true, and teach the way of God truthfully, and care for no man; for you do not regard the position of men.
But the Pharisees went out and took counsel against him, how to destroy him.
And he cautioned them, saying, “Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.”
So from that day on they took counsel how to put him to death.
But they were filled with fury and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.
And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to put him to death; for they feared the people.
