and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,
Now when he rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.
So the soldiers did this. But standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
All these with one accord devoted themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
The women who had come with him from Galilee followed, and saw the tomb, and how his body was laid;
And all his acquaintances and the women who had followed him from Galilee stood at a distance and saw these things.
And there followed him a great multitude of the people, and of women who bewailed and lamented him.
Jesus then asked him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion”; for many demons had entered him.
And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him.
So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, and paralytics, and he healed them.
