As he was now drawing near, at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen,

So all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, to the sound of the horn, trumpets, and cymbals, and made loud music on harps and lyres.

And Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced because of what God had done for the people; for the thing came about suddenly.

And when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,

And as he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,

And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

When he drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount that is called Olivet, he sent two of the disciples,

And as he rode along, they spread their garments on the road.

Fear seized them all; and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and “God has visited his people!”

The reason why the crowd went to meet him was that they heard he had done this sign.
