The fourth lot came out for Issachar, for the tribe of Issachar, according to its families.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of Zebulun, according to its families—these cities with their villages.

Its territory included Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem,

Adjoining the territory of Simeon, from the east side to the west, Issachar, one portion.

The sons of Leah: Reuben (Jacob's first-born), Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun.

Issachar is a strong ass, crouching between the sheepfolds;

But the land shall be divided by lot; according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.

Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;

twelve thousand of the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand of the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand of the tribe of Issachar,
