Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves.

Their heart was not steadfast toward him; they were not true to his covenant.

And they come to you as people come, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear what you say but they will not do it; for with their lips they show much love, but their heart is set on their gain.

Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

When the people saw the sign which he had done, they said, “This is indeed the prophet who is to come into the world!”

And a multitude followed him, because they saw the signs which he did on those who were diseased.

So when the people saw that Jesus was not there, nor his disciples, they themselves got into the boats and went to Caperna-um, seeking Jesus.

So they said to him, “Then what sign do you do, that we may see, and believe you? What work do you perform?

But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe.

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.

So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you;

But there are some of you that do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the first who those were that did not believe, and who it was that would betray him.

For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by fair and flattering words they deceive the hearts of the simple-minded.

They all look after their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.

Their end is destruction, their god is the belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.

and wrangling among men who are depraved in mind and bereft of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.
