So the woman left her water jar, and went away into the city, and said to the people,
There came a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.”
And they rose that same hour and returned to Jerusalem; and they found the eleven gathered together and those who were with them,
and returning from the tomb they told all this to the eleven and to all the rest.
So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
Just then his disciples came. They marveled that he was talking with a woman, but none said, “What do you wish?” or, “Why are you talking with her?”
“Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did. Can this be the Christ?”
So Naaman went in and told his lord, “Thus and so spoke the maiden from the land of Israel.”
