Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.”
But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.
And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfilment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.”
Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”
Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed;
Jesus therefore said to him, “Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe.”
for we walk by faith, not by sight.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
By faith he left Egypt, not being afraid of the anger of the king; for he endured as seeing him who is invisible.
And all these, though well attested by their faith, did not receive what was promised,
Without having seen him you love him; though you do not now see him you believe in him and rejoice with unutterable and exalted joy.
