The tents of robbers are at peace, and those who provoke God are secure, who bring their god in their hand.

Terrifying sounds are in his ears; in prosperity the destroyer will come upon him.

Terrors frighten him on every side, and chase him at his heels.

Their bull breeds without fail; their cow calves, and does not cast her calf.

Let him take his rod away from me, and let not dread of him terrify me.

How they are destroyed in a moment, swept away utterly by terrors!

They are not in trouble as other men are; they are not stricken like other men.

then I will punish their transgression with the rod and their iniquity with scourges;
