He has stripped from me my glory, and taken the crown from my head.
He leads counselors away stripped, and judges he makes fools.
He leads priests away stripped, and overthrows the mighty.

for riches do not last for ever; and does a crown endure to all generations?
but you shall be called the priests of the Lord, men shall speak of you as the ministers of our God; you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their riches you shall glory.
The crown has fallen from our head; woe to us, for we have sinned!
Ephraim's glory shall fly away like a bird— no birth, no pregnancy, no conception!
