In the Lord I take refuge; how can you say to me, “Flee like a bird to the mountains;

And I say, “O that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest;

Like fluttering birds, like scattered nestlings, so are the daughters of Moab at the fords of the Arnon.

The Lord could no longer bear your evil doings and the abominations which you committed; therefore your land has become a desolation and a waste and a curse, without inhabitant, as it is this day.

But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to the place where she is to be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time.
