For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so faith apart from works is dead.
When thou hidest thy face, they are dismayed; when thou takest away their breath, they die and return to their dust.
When his breath departs he returns to his earth; on that very day his plans perish.
and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
Turn away from man in whose nostrils is breath, for of what account is he?
Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this he breathed his last.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love.
What does it profit, my brethren, if a man says he has faith but has not works? Can his faith save him?
So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.
Do you want to be shown, you shallow man, that faith apart from works is barren?
