Isaiah 19:14

The Lord has mingled within her a spirit of confusion; and they have made Egypt stagger in all her doings as a drunken man staggers in his vomit.

Therefore God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false,

“Then you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Drink, be drunk and vomit, fall and rise no more, because of the sword which I am sending among you.’

They grope in the dark without light; and he makes them stagger like a drunken man.

A man is commended according to his good sense, but one of perverse mind is despised.

My people—children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, your leaders mislead you, and confuse the course of your paths.

for those who lead this people lead them astray, and those who are led by them are swallowed up.

The earth staggers like a drunken man, it sways like a hut; its transgression lies heavy upon it, and it falls, and will not rise again.
