Genesis 16:2

and Sarai said to Abram, “Behold now, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children; go in to my maid; it may be that I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

Now Sarai was barren; she had no child.

Lo, sons are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.

If his master gives him a wife and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master's and he shall go out alone.

Then all the people who were at the gate, and the elders, said, “We are witnesses. May the Lord make the woman, who is coming into your house, like Rachel and Leah, who together built up the house of Israel. May you prosper in Ephrathah and be renowned in Bethlehem;
