Now after some years I came to bring to my nation alms and offerings.

but you shall open your hand to him, and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be.

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

But if any one has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?
