And you magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and multiplied your words against me; I heard it.

Because you have raged against me and your arrogance has come into my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will turn you back on the way by which you came.

because they have committed folly in Israel, they have committed adultery with their neighbors' wives, and they have spoken in my name lying words which I did not command them. I am the one who knows, and I am witness, says the Lord.’ ”

“Make him drunk, because he magnified himself against the Lord; so that Moab shall wallow in his vomit, and he too shall be held in derision.

Moab shall be destroyed and be no longer a people, because he magnified himself against the Lord.

“Your words have been stout against me, says the Lord. Yet you say, ‘How have we spoken against thee?’

and they said, “Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has he not spoken through us also?” And the Lord heard it.

“How long shall this wicked congregation murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the people of Israel, which they murmur against me.

For, uttering loud boasts of folly, they entice with licentious passions of the flesh men who have barely escaped from those who live in error.

to execute judgment on all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness which they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

Talk no more so very proudly, let not arrogance come from your mouth; for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.
