But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God’; he that will hear, let him hear; and he that will refuse to hear, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.

And I told the exiles all the things that the Lord had showed me.

The people also are impudent and stubborn: I send you to them; and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God.’

And whether they hear or refuse to hear (for they are a rebellious house) they will know that there has been a prophet among them.

On that day your mouth will be opened to the fugitive, and you shall speak and be no longer dumb. So you will be a sign to them; and they will know that I am the Lord.”

“On that day I will cause a horn to spring forth to the house of Israel, and I will open your lips among them. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”

And go, get you to the exiles, to your people, and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God’; whether they hear or refuse to hear.”

and I will make your tongue cleave to the roof of your mouth, so that you shall be dumb and unable to reprove them; for they are a rebellious house.

Like adamant harder than flint have I made your forehead; fear them not, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.”

Now the hand of the Lord had been upon me the evening before the fugitive came; and he had opened my mouth by the time the man came to me in the morning; so my mouth was opened, and I was no longer dumb.

And lo, you are to them like one who sings love songs with a beautiful voice and plays well on an instrument, for they hear what you say, but they will not do it.

He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

He who has ears, let him hear.”

for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.

and also for me, that utterance may be given me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,
